Washroom Upgrades
Save water, save power, 95% less garbage. Profits go down the drains and out the doors of washrooms in commercial buildings every week. Plastic garbage bags filled with paper towels are heaped on landfills. Lights stay on unnecessarily and millions of gallons of fresh water are flushed away.
With the Econo+Green Plan, washroom facilities are upgraded to standards that give the environment a break while building owners see immediate returns on their energy and maintenance costs.
Excel Hand Dryers
- FAST! Dry hands completely in 10-15 Seconds
- Uses 80% Less Energy than other hand dryers
- 95% Cost Savings vs. Paper Towels
- GreenSpec® Listed and Helps Qualify for LEED® Credits
- Promotes Hygiene (automatic sensor activated)
- Source Reduction Alternative
There are other advantages to trading paper towels for high efficiency hand dryers:
- Washrooms stay cleaner longer without paper towel clutter
- With no paper towels there is almost zero washroom garbage.
- Apart from an annual cleaning, hand dryers are maintenance free
- They are hygienic and hands free.
- You play a part in reducing the mountains of paper waste at landfills. Paper towels are not recyclable. According to the National Resources Defence Council, if every household in the United States used just one less roll of paper towel, 544,000 trees would be saved.

The Econo+Green Plan is a comprehensive yet economical green building maintenance program offering truly environmentally friendly cleaning solutions, smarter waste management programs & more efficient energy & water conservation systems including cost-saving appliance retrofit services.Water on, water off without touching
They save money, they save water and people like them: three very good reasons to install hands-free taps and soap dispensers.
Responsibility to the environment compounded with increased water and energy costs and changing public attitudes toward hygiene are concerns of all building owners. Hands-free taps address all of these.
For employees and members of the public, they're easy - place hands under the faucet, it turns on for a limited time. And they're appreciated. Many people balk at touching taps after washing their hands.
For building owners and managers, there are immediate savings on water bills and knowledge that a precious resource is not being wasted.
Accompanying hands-free soap dispensers mean hands stay clean.
Saving water at the urinal
Fact: some 5% of the world's fresh water is used to carry away urine.
In a world facing a limited supply of available fresh water it makes neither economic nor environmental sense.
Waterless urinals have been embraced by many institutions and commercial buildings as an alternative to this waste.
They're clean, they're odourless and effective and they require zero water.
There are clear economic benefits:
- Because they require no flushing mechanism, waterless urinals are generally less expensive than traditional urinals.
- They save 100% of water going through urinals and 100% of related water and sewer charges
- Maintenance is reduced to periodic changing of a cartridge. No stuck or broken valves from wear or vandalism.
The environmental benefits are just as compelling:
- A water free urinal can save up to 150,000 litres of fresh water each year.
- Without water there is no breeding ground for bacteria. Restrooms stay pleasant and fresh.
Cleaner Toilets with Pressure Flushing
They look and appear to work like traditional toilets but pressure-assisted toilets use pressure, not gravity, to flush a toilet bowl. The result is more thorough cleaning using less water.
They work like this: A sealed inner tank is filled with water and the air inside is compressed. When the flush lever is pressed water is flushed into the bowl using the twin force of water and pressure generated by the compressed air. This dual system uses nearly half the water of conventional toilets and has proven to be more effective in cleaning the bowl.
The pressure assisted toilets go a long way to keeping washrooms clean and working. They cut down on janitorial work and, because they won't overflow, fewer calls to the plumber.
Lights that sense motion
The lights only need to be on when someone is in the washroom. Motion sensor light switches automatically turn the lights on when someone enters and turn off when there is no movement.
The switches are a common sense solution to high electricity bills and to energy waste.
Hygiene conscious employees and members of the public appreciate not having to touch a light switch.
